Advisory

Advisory is where the American School Counseling Association's Mindsets & Behaviors curriculum is provided.

Advisory is mandatory and all students attend Advisory class Tuesdays at 11 am via Zoom.

Students should use the knowledge from the Advisory to inform their course choices during high school. Also see High School Course Planning for additional resources.

ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors

State High School & Beyond Platform - SchooLinks

SchooLinks is an online program that students will utilize throughout their four years at BVA. It contains assessment tools, detailed career profiles, and comprehensive post-secondary information. SchooLinks allows students to research their career and educational interests and understand how they align with the courses they take at BVA. Students work with their advisors during Advisory to navigate SchooLinks and utilize its many features to create a post-secondary plan.
